Legal Notice – Virtual Care Services


Tilla Virtual Care Clinic provides healthcare services through secure, HIPAA/PHIPA-compliant virtual appointments. Virtual care enables assessment, diagnosis, and management of certain health concerns; however, it has inherent limitations compared to in-person care and may not be appropriate for all medical conditions.


Emergency Care:
This clinic does not provide emergency services . If you are experiencing a medical emergency, severe or urgent symptoms, or a life-threatening condition, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency department, or contact local urgent care services immediately.


Telehealth Consent:
 By using Tilla Virtual Care Clinic services, you consent to receiving healthcare via virtual care. You acknowledge the limitations of telehealth, including the possibility that not all conditions can be fully assessed or diagnosed remotely.


Prescribing and Clinical Limitations:
 Some medications and tests may be prescribed or ordered virtually at the discretion of the healthcare provider. Certain prescriptions, investigations, or assessments may require an in-person visit.


Patient Responsibility:
 Patients are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and up-to-date medical information during virtual consultations. Virtual care may not detect all conditions that could be identified through in-person evaluation.


Age and Special Populations:
 Virtual care may not be appropriate for all age groups or special populations (eg, pediatric, geriatric, complex medical needs). In-person evaluation may be recommended at the provider's discretion.


Privacy and Confidentiality – HIA Compliance:
Tilla Virtual Care Clinic is committed to protecting your personal health information in accordance with Alberta's Health Information Act (HIA) . All virtual care services are delivered using secure, encrypted technology. Your health information is collected, used, and disclosed solely for the purpose of providing safe and effective healthcare and is accessible only to authorized healthcare providers. While reasonable measures are taken to protect confidentiality, no electronic system can guarantee absolute security.


Intellectual Property:
 All materials, including logos, branding, and content associated with Tilla Virtual Care Clinic, are the property of the clinic and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission.


By using Tilla Virtual Care Clinic's virtual care services, you acknowledge and accept these terms, including the limitations of telehealth, emergency protocols, and the responsibilities associated with virtual care.
